The 19-year-old Paraguayan attacker secured his side the three points thanks to an unstoppable golazo from roughly 25 yards out.

Julio Enciso has written his name in folklore after guiding Brighton to a historic Premier League victory over Chelsea thanks to an outrageous winning goal.

The Seagulls traveled to Stamford Bridge on Saturday as Roberto de Zerbi's men looked to get their hunt for European football back on track following their controversial defeat at Tottenham last weekend.

And despite falling behind after only 13 minutes thanks to a deflected Conor Gallagher shot, the visitors kept their calm and showed why they are one of the most impressive teams in the English top flight.

Danny Welbeck, who came on as a substitute for Evan Ferguson after the Irish striker was forced off with an injury, equalized for the away side a few minutes after coming on. It was a deserved goal as De Zerbi's men had been dominating the game.

This continued into the second half but the visitors had to wait until the 69th minute to reap their rewards. Julio Enciso, who also came off the bench for Veltman inside the first 30 minutes, grabbed the winning goal in absolutely stunning fashion.

The Paraguayan teenager found himself with acres of space outside the Chelsea box and let loose an unstoppable shot from roughly 25 yards out that blasted past Kepa into the top corner. The 19-year-old, who was signed from Libertad de Asunción 10 months ago, followed up on his golazo with a brilliant celebration.

Not only was Enciso's effort a Goal of the Season contender, but his winning goal also helped this Brighton side make history. Never in the club's 122-year history had they won a football league game against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge but that wait has finally come to an end.

While it was a beautiful moment for Julio and the club, what ultimately matters is the three points. Mitoma and Co. remain in seventh but are seven points behind third-placed Newcastle while boasting a game in hand. This means their push for European football, be it the Champions League or Europa League, is back alive.
