The Nigerian international featured in his side's draw against Hellas Verona last weekend as a sub.

Napoli have 90 minutes to save their Champions League career after losing 1-0 to AC Milan in the first leg. The Partenopei, who are into the quarter-finals for the first time in their history, have turned out to be one of the surprise packages in this season's Champions League, and now have been given a huge boost with the return of one of their star players.

Victor Osimhen, who has missed out on several weeks of action, made his return off the bench during Napoli's league tie against Hellas Verona. Although the Nigerian international unfortunately was unable to find the back of the net as Luciano Spalletti's men were held to a frustrating draw, his return certainly is encouraging ahead of Napoli's must-win game.

Osimhen has been a leading force for Napoli in attack, and has netted four times in five Champions League appearances so far. The 24-year-old will be key for Napoli to successfully overturn their narrow 1-0 deficit and continue their historic Champions League run. So far, the Partenopei have avoided a defeat in their last 12 Champions League home games, with Manchester City's 4-2 win back in November 2017 the last time a team came to the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona (then known as the Stadio San Paolo) and won.

However, they will welcome an opponent who has kept clean sheets in their last five Champions League games. Chelsea were the last team to score against Milan, who have since successfully shut out Tottenham over two legs as well as Napoli last time out. Still, with Osimhen back in the fold, Napoli will definitely be more confident of asking some major questions of Milan's defense. The question is: Will he be enough to help turn things around and keep Napoli's impressive European run going?
