The Giallorossi will be hoping to overturn a 1-0 deficit as they aim to progress in this season's Europa League.

Currently 1-0 down after the first leg, Roma will have a deficit to overcome when they welcome Feyenoord to the Stadio Olimpico on Thursday. Last season saw the Giallorossi win their first ever European title by clinching the title in the inaugural Europa Conference League.

Ironically, the team they denied victory in that final last season - Feyenoord - are the same one standing in their way of progressing to the semi-finals and perhaps beyond. Jose Mourinho's men come into this match having earned a comfortable 3-0 win over Udinese last weekend, which makes it a third consecutive Serie A win in which they did not concede a goal.

Still, there are some sources of concern for the hosts. First, Roma have failed to score in their last two European matches, and should they fail to find the back of the net they will match an unpleasant record that was set in March 2016. Second, they have drawn their last four home meetings against Dutch teams, which, should that happen again on Thursday, would see Roma eliminated.

That being said, there are two stats that could tip this match in favor of Mourinho's side. The first is the fact that Feyenoord are winless in their last four most recent away meetings against Italian sides, with losses in three of them. The second is even more encouraging, with the Giallorossi managing to progress in their last three European knockout ties despite losing the first leg.

Feyenoord, for their part have not had the best of luck when playing in Italy, with defeats in six of their last nine games. However, they are firmly in control of the Eredivisie title race, with an eight point gap at the table's summit, and are just 90 minutes away from securing their spot in the Europa League semi-finals for the first time.

Will the visitors, who will also have revenge on their minds, successfully book their spot in the semi-finals? Or will Roma be able to turn things around and continue their journey in the Europa League?
