Two MLS and two Liga MX clubs are still alive in the competition. Let us wait and see which ones make it to the finals.

We have entered the final stages of the CONCACAF Champions League, and four teams are still aiming to win the title thanks to their performances in their previous fixtures.

The draw and the outcome of the previous games have given us the best possible scenario, as the title clash will have one Liga MX and one MLS side. León and Tigres UANL will try to recover Mexico's dominance in the tournament after Pumas was defeated in last year's edition by the Seattle Sounders. Meanwhile, the MLS side of the bracket will feature the Philadelphia Union and the 2020 runners-up, Los Angeles FC.

It is important for fans to know that away goals are still considered as a tiebreaker. The return legs will be played next week, so the finals can be scheduled for the final week of May and the first week in June.

Here's a glimpse on what to expect in this week's games.

2023 CONCACAF Champions League - Short preview for all games

Tigres UANL vs León - This clash between two Liga MX sides will give them a chance to extend their legacy in this competition. León have never reached a title match in the CCL, while Tigres may want to give their golden generation a final shot at the confederation's title.

Speaking in terms of their performances in the tournament, León have won one game on the road and lost in their Quarterfinal tie against Violette AC, although they decided to kick back following their win in the first leg. Meanwhile, Tigres drew their first home game in the tournament against Orlando City, but they would go on to win that tie and their subsequent home match against Motagua with an emphatic 5-0 score. The most recent fixture between these teams ended in an away win for León, which will make this one even more interesting.

It will be the first of three games between these teams, two of them in the CONCACAF CL and the other one in Liga MX, where both teams are looking for a spot in the playoffs.

Philadelphia Union vs Los Angeles FC - The 2022 MLS champions seem to be on a roll in both the league and in this competition, where they have proven to be quite effective both at home and on the road. As for the hosts on Wednesday, their lackluster start in the 2023 MLS season has seen them devote to this competition, where they are still unbeaten and with two wins at home, the last of them 4-0 against Alianza.

There is not a bit of love between these teams, as the Union lost the MLS Cup to the Black and Gold last winter in an excruciating match that was decided via a penalty shootout. The only game the LAFC have played away from home against Philadelphia's team ended in a draw, which will make matters even more enticing once this match kicks off.
