The striker had a major chance to turn things around for the Whites in the final minutes of the game, but he failed to score a crucial chance.

One of the biggest games in the battle to avoid relegation was played today between Leeds United and Leicester City, and while one of the major stories came thanks to Jamie Vardy ending a major goalscoring drought, the talk of the day was aimed at Patrick Bamford, Leeds United's footballer.

The player was given the chance to start at No.9 despite his disappointing record, which shows three goals in 24 games for Leeds. The player had a chance to erase all that with a single chance, but he failed to convert it and has all but doomed his side to relegation.

A win here would have been crucial for Leeds United in the relegation race, but due to Bamford's awful miss, Leicester have also been given a lifeline and both clubs will have to battle until the very end of the competition to know their future.
