The Portuguese footballer came down with an injury during the team's last Serie A match, jeopardizing his presence in the continental clash.

One of the hottest topics ahead of the Milan-Inter clash in the UEFA Champions League is Rafael Leao's injury, and judging by the coach's words about his footballer, fans should really realize that one of their most decisive players may not be fit to play Wednesday's game.

Speaking in the pre-match press conference, coach Stefano Pioli revealed that the final decision on whether the player will participate in the game will be taken moments prior to revealing the lineup.

"Rafael Leão will try to push and if he feels good he can start. If not, he won't even be on the bench. It's clear that we can't risk it. Today he did the job he had to do, tomorrow we'll see how it goes," Pioli stated.

The Italian boss admitted that taking a lead into the second leg will not be easy, especially after analyzing how complicated the ties against Inter have been in other editions of the tournament.

"It will take great teamwork, as we have seen in the last four Champions League matches. To get an exceptional result you have to do an extraordinary job and we will try," the coach added.

Milan and Inter will lock horns for the first time in the semi-final stage of the continental competition since 2003, when the rossoneri claimed the aggregate win and went on to lift the Champions League title. Find all broadcast details for this match following the link below.
