The relationship between Manchester United and Harry Maguire has taken a turn for the worst, and in this case, the club is willing to go an extra mile to put an end to their commitment.
Prior to this season, Maguire was one of the team's starting center backs, but Erik Ten Hag's arrival saw him going down the pecking order. Now, the club has agreed to let the player leave if any suitable offers come their way, and if earning time on the pitch was not enough to motivate Maguire, the club has offered the footballer an "exit fee" to accelerate his departure.
A report by the Daily Mail states that Manchester United will take this extreme measure so that Maguire and his agents find him a new team this summer. The club would be willing to pay Maguire over $10M if he can work things so he leaves the club, mainly because all deals for his services will not see him earning his weekly wages, which go over $200,000.
Maguire is still under contract with the Red Devils until 2025, but interest from West Ham and even Inter Milan could see him tempted to leave the club. While all this takes place, the footballer could be given one more chance to play for the Red Devils this weekend, as Ten Hag's men try to end Manchester City's treble hopes in the FA Cup final.
