The title match in the women's category for this competition is set to break records in the Mexican top-flight. Follow this match with our detailed guide.

The two-game affair between Pachuca and América will become a fixture no football fan will want to miss as Las Tuzas and Las Águilas will fight against each other for the Liga MX Femenil title for the very first time. The men's clubs have been known for their fierce rivalry, and the women's category is about to experience the very same thing.

Speaking of that, former Pachuca striker Juan Carlos Cacho, now leading Las Tuzas, will want to lead players such as Charlyn Corral and Jennifer Hermoso to their first title in history, just like the one he won with Los Tuzos against América back in 2007. Pachuca Femenil have lost two title matches, and they feel like this third time could be the one where they end their title drought.

On the other side of the pitch, Las Azulcremas make it to this game in fine form after defeating Juárez and Tigres, who were seen by most as the top title contenders. To make América's feat even bigger, they managed to see Tigres off by keeping two straight clean sheets against them, which will undoubtedly give Angel Villacampa's team a boost in confidence. América will be playing their second title series in a row, following their loss to Tigres back in November, but unlike Pachuca, they have been crowned as Liga MX Femenil champions back in 2018.

Speaking of the women to keep an eye on, Corral and Hermoso will be a force to be reckoned with for América, as these strikers combined to score 38 goals in the competition. América will also have quite a bit of firepower for Pachuca to deal with, as Kiana Palacios and Natalia Mauleón scored 22 goals between each other to lead América's attack, the second most prolific in the competition behind Pachuca. Speaking of their defensive units, América's backline has been better than Las Tuzas' conceding only fourteen times in the tournament, ten less than those allowed by Pachuca.

History between these clubs does not have a clear dominance, as each club has won two out of their last four games. Nonetheless, Las Águilas have won the two most recent games against Pachuca, including their regular season fixture that ended 3-2 at Estadio Hidalgo back in March.

The return leg of the Clausura 2023 final is set to take place on Monday, which will make this game even more relevant prior to what will go down at Azteca Stadium that day.
