Les Parisiens are already looking to boost their squad after the departures of several key players, and have turned to La Liga and the Portuguese top flight for solutions.

The summer transfer window is in full swing, and that means that clubs all over Europe are in the process of making some moves to bring in much-needed fresh faces for their respective squads.

PSG, who won the Ligue 1 title, but disappointed in Europe, will be keen on making some big changes this summer as Les Parisiens seek to once again challenge for the Champions League. It's already been announced that several key players will be leaving, including Lionel Messi, who will depart on a free transfer, along with fellow veteran Sergio Ramos.

Subsequently, two players have now been recently linked with moving to the French capital, namely Real Madrid's Marco Asensio and Sporting CP's Manuel Ugarte. Asensio at one point had been linked with a move to AC Milan, but that now appears to be wishful thinking perhaps on the part of the Rossoneri as several reports have the Spanish international, who is now a free agent after leaving Real Madrid, nearing the signature of a deal that will tie him to PSG until 2027.

As for Ugarte, the Uruguayan was reportedly on the radar of Chelsea, but it seems that PSG have been able to nudge the Blues out of the way to secure the 22-year-old's services for an estimated $64 million. Furthermore, PSG will guarantee Ugarte European football - unlike Chelsea, who posted one of their worst Premier League finishes and will miss out on European football entirely after finishing in 11th place.
