The former footballer in question became the first of those involved to have a say on the controversial tapes that gave Real's main man quite a headache.

Last week, a series of leaked tapes left Real Madrid president Florentino Pérez in a bad place due to his explicit views on some of the most praised footballers ever to wear the white jersey. Today, one of those players named on those tapes has stepped up to share his views on the controversial audios.

The man in question is none other than Luis Figo, who spoke about this issue after a friendly game between Real Madrid and Barcelona legends. There, Figo admitted that he has already spoken to Florentino Pérez about those tapes, but he refused to hold hard feelings against the Spanish exec.

"I think that in any private conversation a man can say certain expressions that can be blown out of proportion. I have had the chance to talk about this with him and he apologized to me, so I'd say that's it on that subject," Figo said.

The former Los Blancos and Barcelona player failed to reveal the contents of his relationship with Pérez and insisted on how those tapes should not have an effect on his personal bond with some of the footballers included in those conversations, such as Raúl González, Iker Casillas, or his compatriots Cristiano Ronaldo and José Mourinho.

"Yeah, we spoke after the tapes were revealed, but it is a private conversation and he apologized, so I will not talk about this issue again. It's case closed to me," Figo added.

Florentino Pérez's position as Real Madrid boss was in doubt for a few days, but since there were no major reactions to these tapes being leaked, then the Spanish tycoon may continue as the team's main man for a while.
