It was an interesting weekend of action in La Liga, which reached its top moment when Sevilla claimed the top spot all to themselves by beating Getafe thanks to a late goal by Erik Lamela. Previously, Atlético had also claimed a key win that meant three more points for Simeone's men, but given that they have conceded, the top spot will not belong to them this week.

As for Real Madrid and Barcelona, the two most relevant teams in La Liga ended their weekend with a draw. Los Culés came from behind to earn a one-all draw against Athletic, while Real Madrid were entangled in a thrilling 3-3 draw away from home against Levante.

The upcoming weekend could shift the tide for all teams, as international breaks such as the one coming ip tends to carry a few injuries and problems to teams from all around the globe, and La Liga clubs are no exception.

Elche vs Sevilla: Los Hispalenses will want to add a third win to their start of the season, and what better way to do so than beating Elche, a team who are yet to win their first match of the campaign and that have failed to score a goal in their first two clashes.

Real Betis vs Real Madrid: The Spanish capital giants will play their third away game in a row to start the season, and this will be by far the toughest. Following their draw against Levante, Real Madrid will travel to Sevilla, where Real Betis, one of the teams that has been quite active in the transfer window, will welcome them. Los Verdiblancos are yet to win a game this season, but their games against Los Merengues usually give fun and entertaining games to watch, and Saturday's clash should be no exception.

Barcelona vs Getafe: The Blaugrana side returns home after collectin a point against Athletic, and now they prepare to face Getafe, a team that has always struggled to claim points at Camp Nou. Coach Ronald Koeman will face a selection problem for this game, as Gerard Piqué (injury) and Eric García will be out for this game, which may force the Dutch tactician to use players that are now on the exit row, such as Samuel Umtiti or even Clement Lenglet.
