The Serbian international scored a hat-trick over the weekend to fire his side to a 3-0 win over Spezia, and in doing so has now scored more goals so far in 2021 than superstars Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi.

Last weekend saw Fiorentina earn a 3-0 win over Spezia, and this was all largely thanks to one player: Dusah Vlahovic.

The 21-year-old Serbian international scored all three goals to help the Viola pick up a much needed victory, especially as prior to that they'd won just one of their last four matches. That has helped them into seventh spot on 18 points, three ahead of Juventus, who they'll be facing in a highly anticipated match on Sunday.

And in doing so, Vlahovic now becomes the third-highest goal-scorer in Europe's "Big Five" leagues from January 2021 until now.

With 25 goals, he's only behind Bayern Munich ace Robert Lewandowski and Dortmund's Erling Haaland, who have scored 36 and 26 respectively.

More significant, Vlahovic has actually scored more goals in 2021 than superstars Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo, who have netted 23 and 21, while Kylian Mbappe has scored 20.

It's not surprising that he's again on the radar of many of Europe's biggest clubs. Vlahovic was linked with a move to Arsenal, Tottenham, and Juventus among others, during this past summer's transfer market, but nothing came to fruition. And after his hat-trick, Spurs have reportedly started inquiring once again as they look to revive their fortunes after a difficult start to the season.

Given that he's not set to extend his contract beyond 2023, Fiorentina will be looking to sell him for some profit, which could open the door for a move to the English Premier League during the winter transfer window.

Vlahovic also has presently has eight goals to his name in Serie A, putting him one behind three-time Capocannoniere winner Ciro Immobile, who has nine so far for Lazio, and last season netted 21 goals, showing that clearly he's no one-season wonder.
