The league leaders want to extend the gap at the top, but they must be wary of the desperation shown by the team that will face them this weekend at Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea and Burnley will carry on with their Premier League seaons when they collide at Stamford Bridge this Saturday. Both teams are living quite a different moment, but that does not mean that the Blues will take things easy this time around or that Burnley will go down quietly into the night.

The Blues get to this game as the best team in the league with 25 points to their name, eight wins, and and only one loss in ten games. Added to that, the Blues own the best defensive record in the league with only three goals against them. Speaking about their offensive record, Chelsea's strikers have found the back of their opponents' net 26 times, which is good enough for the second best record in the league. Tuchel's variety of tools have made Chelsea one of the most dangerous teams in the world, and that fact alone should be enough to consider them favorites to win this game.

Despite their absences, Chelsea will enough tools to try and win this game. Surprisingly, their top scorer is Reece James with four goals, but players such as Ben Chilwell, Kai Havertz, or Christian Pulisic, who recently recovered from an injury, may give Blues' fans something to be happy about after this weekend's game.

On the other side of the pitch, Burnley have not enjoyed the best of seasons. The Clarets have only been able to win one game, with four draws and five losses to complete their record in the 2021-22 campaign. Sean Dyche's team has not been stellar in front of goal (only 10 goals for them) or defending their own net (16 goals conceded), which has made their season even more frustrating. Right now, Burnley is ranked eighteenth in the Premier League, three points away from their nearest rivals.

If Burnley want to make things happen at Stamford Bridge, then they will have to rely on Maxwel Cornet and Chris Wood's antics up front. The duo has scored six of Burnley's ten goals this season, and whatever woes they may face at the back should be canceled by these players. One more player to keep an eye on for the Clarets is Dwight McNeil, who has been rated by many experts as the most consistent player of Sean Dyche's lot.
