The league leaders, who will resume their domestic campaign with an away clash against Leicester, have recovered one of their key players - but will have to make do without another.

Although they stumbled in a surprise one-all draw with Burnley last time out, Chelsea still enjoy a three point lead over the chasing pack ahead of the latest round of Premier League fixtures.

The Blues sit three points clear of Manchester City, and will be hoping to further extend their lead when they travel to face Leicester on Saturday afternoon. However, Thomas Tuchel's side have received some news - both good and bad - ahead of their tricky clash at King Power Stadium.

Starting with the good news - American star Christian Pulisic, who has struggled for game-time due to an ongoing series of injuries, is back in contention to start after featuring for the USMNT during the international hiatus. That will certainly come as a huge boost for his manager, who has some major worries about other attacking options going into Saturday's tie.

The biggest concern is none other than mega-money signing Romelu Lukaku. Chelsea paid a whopping $132 million to bring him back to Stamford Bridge at the start of this season, but the big Belgian has missed the last five games due to an ankle injury. While the Blues have done well in his absence, it's safe to say that they'll want him back fighting fit, especially as they face a potentially tough Champions League showdown with Juventus this week.

In addition, Chelsea will be closely tracking the progress of Kai Havertz, who, despite suffering a knock during the clash with Burnley, was able to feature for Germany during the international break. Given that he played the full 90 for die Mannschaft, the former Leverkusen man should hopefully be ready to feature in the starting XI against Leicester.

Meanwhile, English youngster Mason Mount has since returned to training, but it remains to be seen if he's involved in Saturday's match in any capacity.

However, Croatian midfielder Mateo Kovacic is another definite absentee for the visitors, as he's still undergoing rehab following an injury.

Chelsea will travel to face Leicester on Saturday in the first game of matchday 12. As things stand, the Foxes sit in 12th spot, and are winless from their last two - but the Blues certainly will know anything can happen when they take on a team who are no strangers to pulling off surprise results.
