Both the Rossoneri and the Partenopei have been hit hard by injuries, which hasn't helped as they now have fallen behind Inter in the race for the Scudetto.

In addition, the Partenopei, who had burst out of the gates earlier this season, could in fact move up into second if they can beat Milan in this game. So far, Luciano Spalletti's men have won just one of their last five games, and injuries have started to take its toll on the team, who are still competing on multiple fronts.

Meanwhile, Zlatan Ibrahimovic wrote his name in the history books with his late goal against Udinese. Not only did the veteran striker become only the third man since the start of the 21st century to score 300 or more goals in Europe's Big Five leagues, but also ensured that the Rossoneri didn't fall to what would have been a rather embarrassing loss last time out.

Milan: Ante Rebic, Davide Calabria, Pietro Pellegri, Rafael Leao, and Simon Kjaer are all expected to miss out, but the hosts could be given a major boost with veteran striker Olivier Giroud expected to come back this weekend.

Napoli: Victor Osimhen, Mario Rui, Stanislav Lobotka, and Kalidou Koulibaly are all out for the visitors, but skipper Lorenzo Insigne may be able to recover in time for this match.
