The Senegalese superstar pull off another incredible act of kindness while away with the Lions of Teranga in Cameroon.

Not only is Sadio Mane a brilliant player on the pitch, helping Liverpool win the Premier League and UEFA Champions League over the years while guiding Senegal to their first Africa Cup of Nations title in history, but he is also an excellent human being off the pitch.

The former Southampton winger's humility and charity are well documented. Despite this, another heartwarming story involving the 29-year-old has emerged and it has won him even more respect from fans across the world.

His latest act of kindness came while at the Africa Cup of Nations. As reported by Senegalese outlet Sene Web, during his time in Cameroon with the Lions of Teranga, the Premier League superstar paid the entire hospital bill for a child with life-threatening injuries. But how did this come about?

During Senegal's round of 16 fixture, Mane was forced off the pitch after getting concussed. While it was nothing serious, the attacker was taken to hospital for precautionary measures and ended up spending the night there.

While in hospital, he overheard a family in agony after their son had been hit by a motorcycle. According to a guest on Cameroonian channel Equinoxetv, the boy was on the brink of passing away but the family could not afford the treatment. Here is where Mane stepped in, with the Liverpool ace offering to handle all the costs after hearing the story.

"I think I told you about the generous gesture that Sadio Mané made in Bafoussam in favour of a family," the guess said on Equinoxetv, as per the Daily Mail.

"The latter was in distress because a motorcycle had hit their child who had broken bones and injuries all over his body; he was close to death and his parents could not afford to pay for treatment.

"Sadio, who was in this hospital, finds this grieving family and asks them what is going on.

"We explain the situation to him and he gave them 400,000 FCFA which relieved this family.

"I believe that this blessing was rewarded today by GOD."

While 400,000 FCFA is not a tremendous amount of money for the Anfield man, as it translates to almost $700, the fact that Sadio took time out of his day to check up on the family and reach for his own pocket testifies to his character. Of course, this is nothing new as Mane has helped build a school in his home country while contributing financially to the nation's battle with COVID-19.
