Matchday 25 is set to be a very exciting one as there could be some major changes in the league standings by the time it concludes on Sunday. For starters, Napoli, Inter, Milan, and Juventus will all be in action. As things stand, Juventus have finally broken into the top four, while there's only one point separating league leaders Inter from Napoli and Milan.

Here's all you need to know ahead of what's set to be a very interesting weekend as matchday 25 gets underway.

Serie A standings heading into matchday 25

Here's how the top five looks ahead of the next round of fixtures.

Serie A games you won't want to miss on matchday 25

Lazio vs Bologna: With two wins and a draw from their last three Serie A matches, the Biancocelesti seemed to have gained some positive momentum. That is, until they faced AC Milan in the Coppa Italia midweek and were thrashed 4-0. In addition, the loss comes at a huge cost as key striker Ciro Immobile sustained an injury that could keep him on the sidelines for both club and country for the next few weeks. Bologna, meanwhile, have seen their results take a major nosedive as of late. The Rossoblu ended 2021 in the top half of the table, but have failed to hit the same heights since 2022 rolled around, and will come into this match having lost three of their last four ties.

Napoli vs Inter: Another top four clash is on the cards as Inter prepare to take on Napoli. At one point, it started to look as if the Nerazzurri could start breaking away from the chasing pack as they aim to successfully defend their Scudetto crown. However, a recent loss to Milan in last weekend's Derby della Madonnina, coupled with Napoli's resurgent form that has seen the Partenopei win four on the spin, has now narrowed the gap to just one point. This game, like the Derby della Madonnina, could ultimately prove decisive as to who lifts the Scudetto this May, making this arguably one of the biggest games of matchday 25, especially as Inter still do have a game in hand.

Milan vs Sampdoria: Milan will come into their clash with Sampdoria feeling encouraged following their hard-fought 2-1 win over Inter in last weekend's Milan Derby, followed by a resounding 4-0 win over Lazio in the Coppa Italia mid-week. Although Sampdoria recently ended their four match losing streak with a win, the Rossoneri appear to be in the ascendancy at the moment and despite missing quite a few key players due to injury and suspension, should be able to get a positive result to keep pace with Napoli and Inter at the top of the table.

Sassuolo vs Roma: Roma will be desperate to get back to winning ways after their midweek loss to Inter in the Coppa Italia, which left Jose Mourinho fuming at his players. The Lupi presently find themselves in seventh spot on 39 points, so won't be able to dislodge Atalanta, who sit in fifth spot on 43 points, but a win over Sassuolo could help them start to put pressure on La Dea and potentially leap-frog cross-town rivals Lazio in the league standings. However, Sassuolo, who've won just one of their last five, will still do their part to act as disruptors, as the Neroverdi will seek to avoid sliding further down the table with another negative result.

Atalanta vs Juventus: After a difficult start, Juventus have finally broken into the top four. Although the Scudetto appears out of reach, with Inter sitting nine points clear and with a game in hand, the Bianconeri will still look to finish as high in the table as possible. New signing Dusan Vlahovic has hit the ground running, scoring on his debut in a 2-0 win over Hellas Verona, and La Vecchia Signora will hope their new acquisition will be able to play his part as they look to take advantage of an Atalanta side who have hit the skids as of late.
