The veteran striker will be plying his trade with a new club for the first time in seven seasons.

The 27th edition of Major League Soccer (MLS) is set to begin soon, with kick off expected to happen on February 26th. And ahead of the latest rollout, there have been some major transfers taking place.

One involves veteran striker Jozy Altidore, who will be plying his trade for New England Revolution. The Revs finished first in the Eastern Conference and first overall in the league, winning their first Supporters' Shield under current coach Bruce Arena. Prior to the switch, Altidore had plied his trade for Toronto FC since 2015, where featured in three MLS Cup finals and won it in 2017.

It's been a tough past few years for the 32-year-old, who has struggled with injuries that have hampered his overall form and fitness, but he'll obviously be hoping to revitalize his career under Arena's tenure. The two have a long-standing relationship, having worked together when Arena was the coach of the USMNT and won the Gold Cup in 2017.

New England are clearly keen on continuing their strong run, and didn't hesitate when Altidore became available on a Bosman transfer. The Revs will begin their title defense with an away clash against Portland Timbers on February 26th.
