The attacker hit out at his side's boss ahead of their league cup final loss at Wembley on Sunday.

Chelsea winger Callum Hudson-Odoi took a subtle swipe at his side's manager Thomas Tuchel for frequently being animated on the touchline before Sunday night's Carabao Cup Final defeat to Liverpool. The young English forward has asked the German coach to be a bit more discrete when giving out instructions, and says the former should "calm down a little bit and stop shouting as much".

Tuchel's influence at Chelsea since his arrival needs no telling as his methods have been able to fire the Blues to success in the UEFA Champions League and Super Cup, as well as the FIFA Club World Cup. Several players who were struggling under previous managers have also found their form and are currently playing their best football. However, Hudson-Odoi believes that it is not all good vibes with the ex-Paris Saint-Germain manager's approach. The 21-year-old winger has been a regular in the Blues' side in recent months but was not given any game time in the Carabao Cup final defeat to Liverpool despite being on the bench.

Before of the clash at Wembley, the England international highlighted a flaw in Tuchel's methods, suggesting that he has to be a less animated on the touchline to have a more positive impact. Speaking to the Daily Mail, he said: "The manager is a very good guy, tactically he's amazing. He knows how to get the best out of each player, sometimes it might be in a way that you don't want to hear it or he might be shouting in a way that you think: 'Why are you shouting so much on the touchline?'

"At the same time, he wants what is best for the team. Sometimes it's hard to understand and you think to yourself: 'Can you calm down a little bit and stop shouting as much?'

"He's trying to get a message across and make it clear to you that: 'Listen, I want this from you because I want to win the game. I'm not just going to shout at you, I'll shout at everybody to make sure we get the best out of everybody, and we win the game. Or get the 100 per cent out of everybody'.

"It's definitely a different sort of manager compared to the others ones I've been under. He's always on his toes, always up and ready to make a gesture or talk. Just very vocal. "It's good on the pitch but sometimes it's like: 'Can you quieten down a little bit, not shout as much?' But it's OK."

Hudson-Odoi is expected to feature in the starting line-up when Chelsea takes on Luton Town in Wednesday night's FA Cup fifth round encounter. So far the former academy star has scored just three goals in 27 appearances for the Blues in all competitions.
