The Portuguese top-flight will enter the final stretch of the competition with everything to play for and with the league leaders still holding their unbeaten run. Don't miss this week's games with our guide.

The 2021-22 Primeira Liga season continues this weekend with a host of matches that could very well be some of the most entertaining in the campaign.

The first order of business for Primeira Liga fans will be to see if Porto can carry on with their unbeaten streak, which has now extended for twenty-six matches. The team led by Sergio Conceicao will make a trip to visit Boavista, one of the teams involved in the battle to avoid relegation and who have only won once in their last five games.

The second thing to keep in mind for this league's fans will be the game between Benfica and Estoril. The Eagles will make it to this game after beating Ajax in the UEFA Champions League, and that should be a good boost for them to continue their pursuit of both Porto and Sporting.

Once we've dealt with the two of the best teams in the league, it's time to focus on Sporting's match against Vitoria Guimaraes. The Lions have only dropped points in two of their most recent six games, but those draws have come with the worst timing ever, as they could have reduced the gap between them and Porto at the top with the Dragons drawing their games in the same matchdays as Sporting did.

Having discussed the top matches of the week, let's have a closer look at the general status of the competition ahead of this busy weekend.

Primeira Liga standings ahead of Matchday 27

Porto are alone at the top with 70 points and still unbeaten, while Sporting are six points behind Sergio Conceicao's team. The third spot belongs to Benfica, who are 12 points behind the leaders and trailing Sporting by six. Braga and Gil Vicente continue playing for fourth place with only one point separating them.
