The Premier League's top two clubs will battle for a single ticket to feature in the final at Wembley.

Manchester City and Liverpool, the two top teams of this season's Premier League, are set to go head to head in the semi-final of the FA Cup, the draw has confirmed. The pair booked their place among the last four by picking up respective wins on Sunday afternoon, joining Chelsea and Crystal Palace to complete the quartet.

In retrospect, Liverpool did not have it easy as they had to work extra hard to break the resolve of Nottingham Forest and eventually secured their place in the next round through Diogo Jota's strike.

Eleswhere, the team they will face in the semi-finals secured a 4-1 win over Southampton to also secure qualification. Raheem Sterling, Phil Foden, Kevin De Bruyne and Riyad Mahrez were the scorers of the night for Pep Guardiola's side.

On Saturday, Chelsea became the first semi-finalists by beating Middlesborough 2-0 at home. The Blues are now set to take on London rivals Crystal Palace as they target success in the cup competition and the UEFA Champions League.

Having already won the Carabao Cup, Liverpool have their sight set on securing a quadruple this year, while Man City are targeting a treble. The two clubs will be involved in two games that will define both the Premier League title race and the FA Cup as well with the meetings scheduled for April 10th and April 16th respectively.
