Each team will be playing their last match in the Octagonal with different objectives in sight. Follow these games and learn about the possible scenarios with this guide.

We are down to the final match of the FIFA World Cup Qualifiers in CONCACAF, and while there are only four teams playing for a spot in the competition right now, there is still plenty to keep an eye on for this last batch of games.

There are three direct tickets to play in the World Cup, with Canada already getting their hands on one of those. The remaining two are still up for grabs, although Mexico and the USMNT have the upper hand thanks to their goal difference over Costa Rica. Nevertheless, the game between the Stars and Stripes and Costa Rica will have a huge influence on the final standings of the group.

Sunday's games confirmed the elimination of Panama, who were unable to keep their good form from the first half of the Qualifiers and were leapfrogged by Los Ticos. Now, Los Canaleros will begin the quest for the 2026 FIFA World Cup as favorites, since Mexico, the USMNT, and Canada will be hosting the competition and CONCACAF's spots will be up for grabs.

Here's how all CONCACAF teams enter the final day of the 2022 FIFA World Cup Qualifiers.

Now, let's have a look at all the games set to be played this Wednesday in chronological order.

Costa Rica vs USA - The Stars and Stripes seem ready to go back to the FIFA World Cup, as only a huge loss against Los Ticos would condemn them to the intercontinental playoffs. Los Ticos have won nine straight World Cup Qualifying games against the Yanks when playing as hosts, but scoring more than four goals against the USMNT seems a bit far-fetched, which means that if Gregg Berhalter's men can defend their net properly, they will return to the quadrennial tournament by the end of the year.

Jamaica vs Honduras - The worst teams in the qualifiers will play out with different objectives. The Reggae Boyz will try to end the competition in sixth place if they can win and El Salvador lose. Meanwhile, Honduras will try to save face by winning their first World Cup Qualifying match of the tournament, something they have been unable to do for 13 games. With Canada, the USMNT, and Mexico hosting the 2026 FIFA World Cup, these teams will try to start working for that edition of the tournament, and a win here could be the starting point of something better for these national teams.

Mexico vs El Salvador - El Tri make it to the final match with destiny in their hands. Only a disastrous result would deprive them from a spot in the FIFA World Cup, but their run at home in the ongoing Qualifiers has kept their fans guessing. Gerardo Martino's men have claimed three wins in their six games at home, and a draw or a win here would get them to Qatar. Nevertheless, a loss could send them to the intercontinental playoff for the second time ever if Costa Rica can beat the USMNT and they can match or improve Mexico's goal difference. El Salvador have never defeated Mexico in a World Cup Qualifying match held at the Azteca, and judging by their current record, it would be quite a shock to see them win their firs match on Wednesday.

Panama vs Canada - Panama dropped the ball massively in the race to qualify for Qatar, as they were unable to win any of their last three games. Their poor display gave way to Costa Rica to leapfrog them in that race, and now they will want to give fans a bit of joy with a win in their last match. Canada are the only CONCACAF team to have qualified to the World Cup prior to Matchday 14, and a draw here would secure them the top spot of the Qualifiers regardless of what happens with Mexico and the USMNT.
