The 2022 edition of the quadrennial competition will take place between November 21 and December 18.

After a lengthy opening ceremony, the FIFA World Cup draw has taken place moments ago in Doha, leaving some interesting details to analyze for the competition set to take place this winter.

The toughest groups after the draw came early, as Argentina, Saudi Arabia, Mexico, and Poland were drawn in Group C. Later on, Group H will feature Cristiano Ronaldo's Portugal, Ghana, Uruguay, and Korea Republic. Those two groups caused quite a stir on social media due to the pedigree of all teams involved and their potential crosses.

The USMNT, returning to the competition after their absence in Russia 2018, will be playing against England once again in Group B as they did in 2010. For those who want to plan ahead, the opening match of the 2022 FIFA World Cup will feature hosts Qatar against South American side Ecuador.
