The Rossoneri are no strangers to doing business with Los Blancos, having signed two of their players recently.

Although it's still a couple of months to go before the summer transfer window opens, that hasn't stopped many of Europe's biggest sides from already starting to track players they think will help boost their squads.

And AC Milan are no exemption. The Rossoneri are in good position to finally end their 11 year wait to get their hands on the Scudetto title after a strong season, but put on a rather embarrassing showing in their Champions League appearance earlier this term. It was the first for the Diavolo since the 2013/14 season, and given that they're certain to be featuring again next season, Milan's execs have already started to make preparations to help the squad become more competitive on multiple fronts.

With key midfielder Franck Kessie set to leave for Barcelona, while skipper Alessio Romagnoli has been linked with a move to Lazio, the Rossoneri are looking for additional options - both to fill those positions and to overall bolster the squad.

One player they believe falls into the latter category is Marco Asensio. The Spanish international has become a mainstay for Los Blancos, but reports claim that he's become unsettled about the potential arrival of PSG star Kylian Mbappe. Although the 26-year-old has been offered a new contract worth $5.45 million (€5 million) per season plus bonuses, he hasn't committed to whether he'll be staying in Madrid or not.

Milan, meanwhile, are looking for an attacking player, and additional reports claim that Asensio's agents are quite interested in the possibility of moving to Milan next season. That's despite Arsenal also reportedly being interested in his services as well. However, the Rossoneri may present a more attractive option as they're guaranteed to be featuring in the Champions League next season, while Arsenal's participation isn't 100 per cent granted given they are involved in a tough battle just to secure fourth place in the Premier League.

In addition, Milan and Real Madrid have a solid relationship, as evidenced by the recent moves of Theo Hernandez and Brahim Diaz to the Stadio San Siro in recent years, so that could certainly play into their hands as they look to make some key additions this summer.
