The Belgian ace is expected to leave Los Blancos this summer, and while the safe money believes he will return to the Premier League, a new option has emerged for him to keep on playing.

It is safe to say that Eden Hazard's stay at Santiago Bernabeu Stadium has been anything but impressive, and even if he is currently injured, interesting news about his immediate future have emerged recently for those who still believe in his chances to shine elsewhere.

A recent report by Cadena Ser suggested that the player was set to end his contract with the Spanish side by the end of the season, with teams from the Premier League such as Newcastle, Arsenal, or Chelsea being his potential destinations. Nevertheless, a new destination has emerged for the player with a high chance of becoming a reality.

The show SER Deportivos hinted that Hazard could embark in a new adventure with Borussia Dortmund, the perennial candidates to end Bayern München's dominance in the Bundesliga. Hazard would join the black and yellow side with Real Madrid's blessing, mainly because president Florentino Pérez has a relatively good relationship with BVB's main man, Hans-Joachim Watzke.

The Belgian would have an added bonus to his signing, as he would complete his dream of playing alongside his brother, Thorgan Hazard, who has turned into a rather reliable player for Marco Rose's team.

Hazard's exit from Real Madrid would also help the team lower its salary cap, which will pave the way for some of their marquee signings of the summer, which will reportedly include Kylian Mbappé, Erling Haaland, and at least two more players, according to the Spanish media outlet.

The Belgian player has only been able to play 65 games for Los Blancos since he joined them in the summer of 2019, scoring six goals in the process. Right now, Hazard is recovering from a surgery to his right leg that could mark the end of his stint with the Spanish capital team with him on the sidelines.
