With the last week of the season coming up, it will be that time of the year when fantasy managers make those last minute changes to their sides.
It’s that time of the year again, the last weekend of the season for all you FPL managers to show your game in your mini-leagues. In this article, we analyse the goalkeepers, defenders, midfielders and strikers who could make or break your final weekend.

GOALKEEPERS:

The obvious choice for a goalkeeper this weekend is Liverpool’s Pepe Reina, who will face QPR at home. Priced at an affordable 5.8m, Reina has been excellent this season keeping 13 clean sheets with an average of 4.17 saves per match.

Another option could be the ever-reliable Joe Hart as Manchester City will host Norwich to the Emirates this weekend. Hart is the more expensive option at 6.9m, but has been on top of his game the entire season.

DEFENDERS:

With Liverpool facing a dejected QPR at home, you could do much worse than having a Red defender in your team. My pick is the veteran Jamie Carraghar, who will play his final match, before retiring, of his long career at Anfield.

Manchester United’s young protégé Phil Jones may also turn out to be a worthy buy for the final weekend of Sir Alex Ferguson’s career at Old Trafford. United play West Brom away, but I expect nothing less than 3 points and a clean sheet from the Red Devils.

Tottenham’s Michael Dawson is another cheap fantasy asset, with the Spurs having a must-win home game against Sunderland.

MIDFIELDERS:

Chelsea have a tough game against Everton at home, so I expect Spanish Juan Mata to be in charge of controlling all Chelsea forward moves.

He could end up with a couple of assists or goals on the day. Compatriot Eden Hazard could be another option, though with injury risk.

Arsenal’s Santi Cazorla had a brilliant game on Tuesday night where he provided all the 4 assists for his team’s goals and also had a few shots on target. Another must-have, though having a tricky game against Newcastle United away.

Manchester City face off against resilient Norwich at the Emirates, and David Silva who has produced the goods throughout the season for his team, will again be instrumental in his team’s success.

Tottenham’s Gareth Bale, the obvious fantasy selection for managers throughout the season, has failed to deliver over the last couple of weeks, but in a crunch match against Sunderland at home, you could be forgiven for having the PFA Player of the Year in your team.

Other notable inclusions in your team could be Arsenal’s Theo Walcott who put in another fine performance on Tuesday night.

A cheaper option could be West Ham’s Kevin Nolan who has put in a brilliant shift for the Hammers during the entire season. West Ham play relegated Reading at home. Liverpool’s Coutinho also warrants a mention after having a couple of fruitful weeks for his team.

STRIKERS:

Daniel Sturridge had a fantastic outing with Liverpool last weekend with a hat-trick and a total of 8 shots on target, which also earned him 3 BP.

An easy home match against relegated QPR this weekend makes the Studge a must-have in your FPL team. Man City’s Sergio Aguero, who could be on his way out in the summer, also has shown recent form and scored against Reading in the midweek.

Another man to look out for is Tottenham’s Emmanuel Adebayor, who though had a majorly disappointing season, looks to have found his feet in his last couple of matches with 2 goals and an assist.
