The footage was uploaded by Real Madrid's social media accounts shortly after the team earned a spot in the semi-finals despite losing to Chelsea.

It was one of those days when Real Madrid can call themselves taller than the opposition, but all in all, there are some among the squad that earn praise due to their humble nature, and one of those players is none other than the 2018 Ballon D'Or winner, Luka Modric.

The talented midfielder, who is set to end his contract with Los Blancos next summer, played a key role in the outcome of the game with a delightful assist to Rodrygo for the team's first goal of the evening, and while his name did not go up on the score sheet, he was named as Man of the Match by UEFA after the game.

Moments after the game, the man tweeted about how "giving up when playing for Real Madrid was not an option" decided to say hi to the team's supporters in a short video that went viral moments after it hit the internet.

Real Madrid will now be facing the winner of the tie between Atlético Madrid and Manchester City in the semi-finals.
