Ralf Rangnick did not hold back when discussing Klopp's influence in the Reds' recent rise, but he also ended up criticizing his current employers.

The clash between Liverpool and Manchester United has not been away from controversy, but contrary to what some could think, the recent statements shared by the Red Devils' boss have caused quite a stir within the squad rather than adding fire to the rivalry with the Merseyside club.

Speaking in a press conference earlier today, Man United boss Ralf Rangnick shared his views on Liverpool's current run in the season, which could see them winning a quadruple in the next couple of months. While praising his fellow German boss Jurgen Klopp, Rangnick ended up aiming a dig at his current employers and at the way they have conducted their business in recent years.

According to Rangnick, Liverpool's success has been cemented by the team's ability to adapt to all situations both on and off the pitch, which has also included a proper job by the Reds' hierarchy.

"He is one of the best, if not the best coach. Not only now, but in the last couple of years. It is no coincidence what has happened. They brought in the right players and got rid of the right players. That is why they are where they are," Rangnick said about Klopp and his bosses, which was seen by most experts as a subtle dig at his current employers.

The current Man United boss did not hold back when discussing his team's chances for Tuesday's game.

"Although we might be the underdogs for most people, we still know that if we raise our level, if we play a top performance, then we have a chance to get three points. This will be our ambition and goal for tomorrow," Rangnick added.

Liverpool could become the new leaders in the English Premier League if they are capable of claiming three points and Manchester City are not able to follow suit in their clash against Brighton. Meanwhile, Manchester United will continue their quest to finish among the top four, and a win in this match would be crucial to reaching that goal.
