The Red Devils will face the Gunners and the Blues in their next two league games. Unfortunately, Rangnick could be without another player for those ties.

Things continue to get worse for Manchester United.

The Premier League giants endured another embarrassing defeat at the hands of Liverpool yesterday, losing 4-0 at Anfield on the back of a 5-0 defeat at Old Trafford earlier this season. Once again, the historic English club was torn apart by Klopp's rampant men as fans watched on helplessly and miserably.

And despite Arsenal having not played yesterday, the Gunners leapfrogged the Red Devils into fifth as the four-nil loss saw Rangnick's men throw away their superior goal difference. Speaking of the north London giants, next up for Manchester United is a trip to the Emirates Stadium, a tie that could make or break their top four hopes.

Arteta's side face Chelsea on Wednesday and should they triumph at Stamford Bridge, which will be extremely difficult given their poor form lately, then the Manchester giants will head to the English capital needing to beat their bitter rivals. Unfortunately, the away side might have to make that trip without another talented senior midfielder.

That man is none other than Paul Pogba, who, despite his struggles for consistency, remains one of Rangnick's most gifted players. The Frenchman started at Anfield but after only 10 minutes, the former Juventus ace limped off the pitch after picking up an injury.

Speaking after the game, Rangnick, who was visibly upset and disappointed with the result, revealed that Pogba suffered a calf issue and is now a doubt for Saturday's clash with Arsenal. Additionally, the 29-year-old might be unavailable for the showdown with Chelsea in just over a week.

"He [Pogba] pulled a calf muscle. I fear he will not be available for Arsenal [on Saturday] or for Chelsea [on April 28]," Rangnick said (as per Football London)

The German boss was already dealing with an injury crisis as both Fred and Scott McTominay have been sidelined, hence why Pogba started alongside Matic on Tuesday. Whether the aforementioned Brazilian or Scotsman will return in time for the weekend fixture remains uncertain.
