Despite the Polish ace's alleged desire to leave the club, both the coach and its main men have stated they will try to keep him around for as long as possible.

Striker Robert Lewandowski may be ready to leave Bayern München, but Bayern München is not ready to part ways with the footballer.

The player has been linked with an exit from the Bavarian side for the better part of the year, but the club has repeatedly stated they are ready to see the end of their deal with the Polish striker and if possible, add a few more years to it.

This notion has been confirmed by Uli Hoeness, the team's President of Honor, who told the B/R that the Polish footballer will remain with the club until the end of the 2022-23 season and even further if negotiations for a contract extension are successful.

"I assume that Robert Lewandowski will play for Bayern next season. I am 100% sure. He is under contract, and it is as simple as that," Hoeness said.

Lewandowski's future is also a crucial thing to decide for coach Julian Nagelsmann, who continued to voice his desire to keep the footballer around after their match this weekend.

"I want his contract to be extended. I have said it at least 50 times. Of course I'd like him to stay, nothing has changed this week and that will continue to be my point of view," Nagelsmann added.

Lewandowski is set to end one more season as the Bundesliga's top scorer, and with only two games left in the season, it seems that the Polish ace will also be able to win one more Golden Boot trophy.  With those numbers in mind, it is safe to say that the club would be making a mistake in letting him go, but his wishes for new challenges may still keep him guessing about what could be a good move in the next couple of months.
