Portuguese football fans will certainly be looking to the latest installment of the Benfica-Porto rivalry when the two sides meet on Saturday.

Although the title has been pretty much decided, Primeira Liga fans will be looking forward to Saturday's clash featuring Benfica and Porto. Porto could officially become the champions of the Portuguese top flight with a win over Benfica this weekend, but it's safe to say that the Eagles will be doing their very best to ensure that the Dragons aren't crowned champs on their turf.

Benfica come into this game unbeaten in their last four games, but will have to try their luck via the play-offs if they want to feature in next season's Champions League. The Eagles are eight points behind second-placed Sporting, meaning that it's mathematically impossible to secure second. Still, they will certainly look to hand Porto what would the Dragons' second loss of the season, albeit they haven't beaten their bitter rivals in three years (since March 2019).

As for Porto, their dreams of completing a campaign sans defeat came to an end when they were beaten 1-0 by Braga. That also ended a 58 game unbeaten streak, a new record in the Portuguese top flight, but they won't have time to rue that as they could also set another record. During the 2017/18 season, Porto picked up 88 points, which was enough for them to win the title. At this point, they've earned 85, and with two games to go, could potentially surpass that should they avoid defeat in their last two games of the season.
