On Monday, 18-year-old starlet Marcelo Flores decided to vow his loyalty to El Tri. Now, he is set to play for the Mexican side in his first official tournament.

The Mexican National Team's scouts have hit the nail on its head with the confirmation of Arsenal starlet Marcelo Flores as part of the team for years to come.

The footballer issued a press release yesterday revealing his decision to play for the Mexican team rather than choosing other countries to play national team football. Flores had been sought out by Canada and England since his mother is Canadian and due to the fact that he has played for Arsenal's age-limited teams for quite a while. Nevertheless, Flores has decided to play for El Tri, with the possibility of making it to the 2022 FIFA World Cup still there.

Now, the next step for Mexico was to give Flores an official call up to play a competitive tournament with El Tri to confirm his availability. With that in mind, Mexico's coach Gerardo Martino decided to include the footballer in the squad that will be playing in the CONCACAF Nations League next month. Added to that, Flores may be given a chance to play in some of the friendlies El Tri have scheduled for the next month and with the FIFA World Cup in mind.

Here is Mexico's roster for what should be a busy month with CONCACAF Nations League games and friendly matches.

"A summer full of football!

Here are the 38 players called up by Gerardo Martino for the Nations League and #Mextour. Enjoy yourselves, lads!"
