The French star is wanted at both Old Trafford and Stamford Bridge, but the 24-year-old won't come cheap.

The summer transfer window is currently underway, with Chelsea and Manchester United being on the lookout for attackers.

The two Premier League giants are in dire need of attacking reinforcement, with RB Leipzig sensation Christopher Nkunku being shortlisted by both clubs as a potential target. However, up until now, the Frenchman's price tag remained under a cloud of mystery as his Bundesliga employers focused on getting him to sign a new contract.

How much would it cost the Blues and the Red Devils to sign the former PSG winger? Unfortunately, it is bad news for the English outfits as they will have to go above and beyond for the German top-flight star. According to the Independent, Manchester United have been informed that it will cost a whopping £100M ($125.1M) to steal the 24-year-old away from the Red Bull Arena.

Interestingly, it was the Red Devils that were given this warning, with this piece of information making the headlines in the wake of their failed Darwin Nunez pursuit. Erik ten Hag's side are keen on a young attacker and were heavily pursuing the aforementioned Uruguayan ace only to lose out to Liverpool, who have now completed a deal with Benfica.

As per Transfermarkt, the Frenchman scored an excellent 35 goals while racking up an additional 19 assists in  50 appearances all over the pitch, playing both on the left and right, as a no.10 and second striker, and even as a number 9.

Despite his talent and versatility, RB Leipzig's price tag will make him a near impossible acquisition for both clubs as they need strengthening all over the pitch. Manchester United need a midfielder and defensive improvements while Chelsea, who could lose up to five defenders this summer, need to address their back four and goalscoring struggles.
