The French midfielder is set to reunite with his former club.

Paul Pogba will undergo his Juventus medical in the first week of July, with his representative expected to finalise the details of his move back to Turin on Thursday, a report by Sky Italia has revealed. The 28-year-old French midfielder return to his former stomping ground is imminent after allowing his Manchester United contract to run down.

After spending five seasons at Old Trafford, Pogba decided against continuing at the club and opted against renewing his contract. Having been linked with moves to Paris Saint-Germain and Real Madrid, the World Cup winner opted for a move back to the club that he developed at following his move away from Manchester as a youngster.

On Wednesday, Sky Italia's transfer guru Gianluca di Marzio revealed that all of the details of the player's future contracts will be outlined in the meeting scheduled for Thursday, June 23. The expectation is that the midfielder will be given a three-year contract with the option of an additional year. The former Manchester United player is likely to join the team between the 5th and 8th of July.

According to the report, Pogba's new lawyer, Rafaela Pimenta, spoke with the Bianconeri right before Juve's final home game of the previous season against Lazio. At the time, the Turin club openly denied any talks about signing the Frenchman, although they completed the work and closed the deal for him after he left United. The player is expected to take a reduce his wage from its previous position at Old Trafford for the deal to also go through.

At the moment, Pogba is in his parents' home country Guinea for the holidays.
