The Ligue 1 champions want to revamp their squad by parting ways with several of their footballers from last season.

PSG has been known over the past ten years for splashing cash to sign some of the top players in the world, but the team's stance seems to be different this year under Luis Campos' management and Christoph Galtier's coaching skills.

The French capital team seem determined to lower the amount of money they spend in wages, especially if a recent report by Le Parisien turns out to be true. Earlier today, the French publication revealed that Les Parisiens could be ready to offload as many as eleven players to lower the team's salary budget and yes, to try and find more players to sign.

The list of players shown by Le Parisien shows footballers who can be considered to be part of the elite and others who are making a name for themselves. According to the French newspaper, it will be PSG's main goal to get rid of the players listed in the first group.

The names of the players listed in that first batch includes Mauro Icardi, Leandro Paredes, Julian Draxler, Ander Herrera, and Georginio Wijnaldum. Icardi, Herrera, and Paredes have won quite a few titles with the club since their arrival, while Wijnaldum and Paredes were considered as key to the team's plans not so long ago. The first three names included in this list have already been told by the team's hierarchy to search for other employment opportunities, while Wijnaldum and Herrera could survive the "cut" and keep fighting for a spot in the team's regular lineup next season.

The other players that have been deemed surplus to the team's requirements include Layvin Kurzawa, Eric Ebimbé, Abdou Diallo, Idrissa Gana Gueye, Thilo Kherer, and Danilo Pereira. The team's idea is to let all of these players leave the club due to their high wages and poor performances on the team, while others, like Kurzawa (who signed a contract extension until 2024), have entered a tug of war with the team's hierarchy that has jeopardized their future with the club.

It is surprising not to see Neymar's name included in any of these lists, since the Brazilian player had also been reported to be on the exit row from the club. Now, it remains to be seen how many of these players end up leaving the team before the start of the new season, especially with the kind of wages they collect with the Ligue 1 giants, which will not be easily matched by any of the potential suitors out there.
