It was a short answer, but coach Thomas Tuchel did refer to a potential move by the Blues to sign Cristiano Ronaldo.
The German coach got close to North American fans during the team's preparations for their first preseason game this weekend. There, the tactician was asked about the club's interest in signing the Portuguese footballer, and while he did not come up with a straight answer, his reaction seems to hint that the Blues may not be interested in hiring the legendary footballer after all.
After signing an autograph, Tuchel's smirk when asked about a move for the Portuguese ace will only increase rumors regarding a high-profile move to the 2021 UEFA Champions League, even if the player is still under contract at Manchester United.
