The English superstar is set to join Tuchel's side after enjoying seven incredible seasons at the Etihad Stadium.

While Manchester City are yet to communicate this with their fans, Raheem Sterling has confirmed his departure from the champions of England.

After months of speculation, the English superstar has completed a move to Chelsea, with the only thing remaining being an official confirmation, ending his seven-year spell with the Cityzens. The former Liverpool winger, who was entering the final year of his Etihad Stadium deal, looks to become the first major signing of the Boehly and Co. ownership at Stamford Bridge.

The 27-year-old, who won a whopping four Premier League titles during his time at the Etihad Stadium, showed his class by wasting no time in thanking everyone who took part in his journey with Manchester City, including the backroom staff and the beloved fans.

"Seven seasons, eleven major trophies, a lifetime of memories," Sterling wrote in a lengthy caption.

"To the coaching staff who have played a massive role in my development over the years, to my teammates who have become more than just those I share a pitch with, to the backroom staff, to the office staff, to the fans who have tirelessly supported the team, and to everyone involved with Manchester City, my respect for you couldn't be greater.

"I am thankful for the ups and the downs. As it's the downs that have, at times, tested my strength and resolve, and enabled me to stand here in front of you as the best possible version of myself.

"I arrived in Manchester a 20-year-old, today, I leave as a man.

"Thank you for your endless support. It's been an honor to wear the shirt of Manchester City."

This lovely message was followed up with a three-minute montage video of some of his best moments in a Manchester City jersey, including his last goal contribution for Guardiola's side – his assist for Ilkay Gundogan in the club's 3-2 comeback win over Aston Villa on the final day to seal the 2021/22 English top-flight title.

Riyad Mahrez, now his former teammate, also took to social media to bid farewell to Raheem, hailing him as a "brother" who will be missed.

According to several reliable outlets, the attacker has already underwent his Chelsea medical and is set to jet to the United States to join up with Tuchel's side for the pre-season. The German boss played a key role in convincing the Three Lions ace to move to Stamford Bridge and will likely play a huge role in the Blues' lineup this upcoming season.
