Reports coming in from Poland state that the striker will finally have things going his way after the Spanish club met Bayern's asking price.

One of the major transfer sagas of the summer could be approaching its conclusion, as unofficial reports from Poland suggest that Robert Lewandowski may finally be heading away from Bayern München.

A report by Polish journalist Tomasz Wlodarzyck, the deal between the two parties will see Lewandowski joining Los Culés in the next few days after weeks of failed negotiations. Wlodarzyck is a close friend of the striker, which has allowed him to get to know the state of negotiations between the two clubs.

"It's just a question of formalities. Robert Lewandowski will become a Barcelona player in coming days! Since Thursday night, activities related to the transfer suffered a major boost, which may see the matter getting sorted out before Bayern's squad unveiling event this Saturday," Wlodarzyck said.

The Polish journalist stated that an agreement has already been reached, but the main thing for both clubs to do is to announce the transfer.

"We understand that Barcelona and Bayern have reached an unofficial agreement and that the deal will become official for the captain of the Polish National Team. On Thursday night we were pretty sure that all dealings would lead to a positive solution for the striker. We have picked up serious hints about how the transfer only needs to be made official," Wlodarzyck added.

Up until now, Bayern seemed ready to defend their ground and keep the footballer around until the end of his current contract, which concludes after the season that is about to start. Only time will tell if he Bavarian side live up to their word or if Wlodarzyck's words turn out to be true.
