Given the team's problems in midfield, the Red Devils are preparing to hire one of Los Blancos' most laureated players.

There are still two weeks left in the summer transfer window, and Manchester United are reportedly ready to make an effort to sign one of the highest-praised footballers in Los Blancos' history.

According to reports coming in from Spain, the Red Devils are desperate to add talent to their squad after two straight losses in the Premier League. Their desperation has seen them target names such as Adrien Rabiot, but that is not their only name on their list, and they have reportedly started talks to hire none other than Casemiro to help them out.

The Brazilian footballer recently extended his contract with the club until the end of the 2024-25 season. Nevertheless, Real Madrid seem to have prepared beforehand for the exit of one of their talented midfielders, which has seen them hire Eduardo Camavinga and Aurelien Tchouameni in the past transfer windows.

Carlo Ancelotti has referred to the player as "key" in his squad, but he has also stated that anything can happen in the final two weeks of the transfer window.

Manchester United have struggled to find a midfield duo to deputize as holding midfielders. Last weekend, the Red Devils' coach lined up Christian Eriksen and Fred in that role, but the experiment was less than flattering, as the red-and-white side was slammed by Brentford with a 4-0 score. Casemiro's arrival would bring flair and experience to that area of the pitch and would also end the pursuit of a key position in Erik Ten Hag's scheme.

Negotiations are reportedly in the initial stages, but it would certainly be interesting to see the Brazilian ace joining the Premier League side.
