The Ligue 1 outfit is said to be weighing up the possibility of securing the service of the Portuguese playmaker.

Paris Saint-Germain are working on hijacking Bernardo Silva's purported move to Barcelona, a new report has revealed. The current Ligue 1 champions are said to be readying a massive offer to snatch the Portuguese superstar from Man City with the player's future still up in the air.

Despite playing a key role in the success story of Man City in recent years Bernardo Silva's future has been spotlighted this summer. Although he is still regarded as a crucial piece in the side by Pep Guardiola, the player has seemingly lost his ticket to regularly feature in the starting line up. With the World Cup just around the corner, the 28-year-old creative midfielder is said to be concerned about the potential lack of playing opportunities in the new campaign and is as a result considering his options.

Barcelona have long retained an interest in securing the service of the Bernardo Silva and are keen on recruiting him this summer. However, multiple reports from the UK have stated that the Portuguese is not keen on forcing his way out despite being flattered by Barca interest. With headway yet to be made between the player's representatives and the clubs involved, Paris Saint-Germain have apparently entered the equation to test City's resolve and ruin the plans of the Catalans.

According to The Times, Les Parisians are willing to table an offer in the excess of $71M to acquire the Portugal international from the Premier League champions. Per the report, PSG aim to bolster their ranks in a bid to land the Champions League title for the first time-ever and “are confident that Silva will move to Paris if a fee can be agreed.”
