Xavi Hernandez played his final game with Barcelona during the 2-2 draw against Deportivo. The historic midfielder leaves behind a series of records with Los Blaugranas, including 23 trophies won since graduating from La Masia.
Hernandez, who scored 85 goals and served 173 assists in 764 games for Barcelona, left the pitch with just six minutes left in the game, handing the captain's badge to Andres Iniesta. When Xavi entered the team's dugout, he broke out in tears after being hugged by most of Barca's players.
Before lifting La Liga's trophy, Xavi said a few words to the team's supporters. Visibly moved by all the signs of respect he's been shown recently, Hernandez took the microphone one last time to say good-bye to the Catalunyan fans.
"Thank you Barca, we are the best club in the world, no matter what anyone says. I'm really happy, thank you!"
