Midfielder Adrien Rabiot will return to the pitch after a tug of war with Les Parisiens' hierarchy.

Reports in the past few weeks suggested that Adrien Rabiot could be in line to sign a new contract with PSG, which would have handed a massive blow to the hopes of Manchester United, Barcelona, Real Madrid and more. Today, the player's agent -and mother - Veronique Rabiot denied such claims and dissed all chances of seeing her son extending his stay at Parc Des Princes.

Interviewed by French media outlet RTL, Veronique Rabiot revealed that there was no intention from either side to extend their commitment with each other, following the tug of war between both parties which concluded with Rabiot being banned from PSG's training grounds.

"I want to issue a formal denial. I've read that Adrien didn't show up for a meeting with Leonardo or that he refused an extension. It's absolutely false, there was no conversation between Leonardo and I. I've spoken to him on the phone once since he came back and we said goodbye politely," Veronique Rabiot stated.

"There was no offer before, there isn't one now and there won't be one. There hasn't been even a slight change," the player's mom/agent added.

Rabiot has been linked with a move to Manchester United and Juventus, with the Serie A giants being deemed as the favorites to sign the player. Either way, Veronique Rabiot decided not to reveal where her son will be playing next year, although a move to The Old Lady seems to be his preferred destination.

"You know, in football we're very superstitious. It's better to say as little as possible while nothing is done," Rabiot's mother concluded.
