Arsenal successfully landed a couple of Premier League milestones following their sterling first-half performance against Chelsea on Tuesday night. In a highly anticipated London derby, the Premier League title contenders put their rivals to the sword by scoring three times inside the first 13 minutes of the clash at the Emirates Stadium.
The Gunners came into the game looking to end a four-game winless streak in the Premier League, and with their sight on reclaiming the top-spot from Manchester City, they did so in style with a dominant performance. The first goal came in the 18th minute when Martin Odeegard applied a fine finish to Grant Chaka's pass across the 18-yard box.

Arsenal doubled their lead just 13 minutes later with Odeegard placing a first-time shot into the bottom corner after leaving his marker Raheem Sterling for dead. The home side then continued to press forward and were rewarded once again in the 34th minute with Gabriel Jesus slamming home from close range after another poor defensive play by Chelsea.
20+ - Martin Ødegaard is the third @Arsenal player to reach 20+ goals and assists combined in the Premier League this season, after Bukayo Saka (24) and Gabriel Martinelli (20). Arsenal are the only side with 3+ players to have done so in this campaign. Trio. pic.twitter.com/EMe5BGDl61

In hindsight, Arsenal became the first club in Europe's top five leagues to have four different players scoring 10 or more goals this season. Relatively, it is also the first that the Gunners have managed to score three goals in the first half of a London derby since doing so against Tottenham Hotspur in 2021.
On the other hand, Chelsea were condemned to another low. The Blues found themselves three goals down at half-time in a Premier League London derby for only the second time. Interestingly, the previous occasion also came against Arsenal at the Emirates in September 2016.
