Karim Benzema had a night to forget at the Bernanbeu after missing a late penalty against Osasuna as Real Madrid dropped points in La Liga for the first time this season. The Frenchman had a glorious chance to snatch all three points for Los Blancos but rattled the crossbar with his attempt to ensure that spoils were shared with the visitors who ended the night with 10 men.

The striker thought he had been vindicated after having the ball in the net but saw his goal chalked off after as he was offside in the build-up. With the result, Madrid are now level on point with rivals Barcelona and have been demoted to second place by the second place by their rivals.
