About TNT

Turner Network Television, better known as TNT, is a pay-TV network owned by WarnerMedia in the United States. It broadcasts in 1080i (HDTV) and is available in over 80 million U.S. households. It was founded in October 1988, with an initial focus on classic films and TV series.

As an asset of WarnerMedia Entertainment, TNT’s sister networks include TBS, AT&T SportsNet (ATTSN), The CW and CNN. The channel also comes in different versions that are accessible from Africa, Asia, Europe, Latin America, the Middle East and Australia. International feeds available in South America include TNT Brazil, TNT Colombia, TNT Mexico and TNT Venezuela among others. Programs telecast on the network’s various versions may vary by region.

Since 2001 in USA, the original TNT network’s programming scope has been expanding to a wider range of content, including sports. Live sports action that has aired on TNT over the years includes professional and college basketball, golf, baseball, auto racing, wrestling, American football and soccer.
TNT’s history of soccer coverage in USA has been underscored by major competitions, such as the UEFA Champions League and Europa League. The channel first began airing live soccer matches from Europe’s two biggest club tournaments in 2018, after Turner Sports successfully struck a broadcast deal with UEFA the year before. In its first season as an English-language broadcaster, TNT reportedly delivered the most viewed Champions League coverage in USA, in at least a decade. The channel has also aired the UEFA Super Cup on US TV.

TNT USA is available on DirecTV Channel 245 (East; SD/HD) and Channel 245-1 (West; HD), and also on Dish Network Channel 138 (HD) via satellite. TNT can be accessed via IPTV on Verizon Fios Channel 51 (SD) and Channel 551 (HD), and additionally on AT&T U-verse Channel 108 (East), Channel 109 (West), Channel 1108 (East; HD) and Channel 1109 (West; HD). CenturyLink Prism TV subscribers can watch TNT on the same channel numbers as those on AT&T U-verse. In Puerto Rico, Claro PR has TNT on Channel 1115 (HD).

Many cable TV providers in USA have the network included in their channel lineup, but exact channel numbers may vary depending on the location. Spectrum TV customers can tune in to TNT on Channel 42 in Los Angeles, California, whereas Xfinity TV viewers in Somerville, Massachusetts, can watch TNT on Channel 33 (SD) and Channel 833 (HD). For Cox subscribers in Freeport, Florida, TNT is on Channel 46 (SD) and Channel 1046 (HD).

Streaming TNT online is possible on the network’s website, as well as on the official Watch TNT app for Android and iOS smartphones and tablets. The TNT App provides live sports, full episodes and movies, and requires user authentication via participating TV providers.
