About Belarusian Supercup
The Belarusian Super Cup is an annual one-off clash between the champions of the Belarusian Premier League and the Belarusian Cup titleholders. If both titles were won by one club, then the other spot in the Super Cup is awarded to the domestic cup runners-up.
Prior to this competition, a semi-official tournament named the Season Cup was held in July 1994 between the then-league and cup holders Dinamo Minsk and Cup runners-up Fandok Bobruisk. Dinamo won that game via a 5-3 scoreline but the tournament was canceled before a second edition was held. The Belarusian Super Cup as we know it today was established in 2010 and is staged in late February or early March to serve as a season opener for the Belarusian Premier League.
