About Romanian Supercup
The Supercupa României (Romanian Supercup) is a championship contested by the Liga I champion and the Cupa României winner. This competition was founded in 1994 and acts as Romania’s season opener. If the league and cup titles are won by the same club, then their Supercup opponent becomes the Liga I runner-up.
