About Youth Championship
The Russian Youth Championship is the nation’s league dedicated to youth or reserve teams. It runs parallel to the Russian Premier League. The 16 participants in this competition are the youth or reserve sides of the top-flight clubs from that corresponding season. Fixtures are often played a day before the senior teams face off. Relegation in the Russian Youth Championship is decided by the league position of the respective clubs' senior sides.
