Even with Manchester City's intention to extend the midfielder's contract, the player from Ivory Coast could be preparing his arrival to Inter Milan.

After months of speculation, it seems Yaya Toure's future will be away from Etihad Stadium. Despite Manchester City's intention of extending the player's contract, the Ivory Coast midfielder seems set to move to Inter Milan.

Prior to his Europa League clash against Celtic, Inter Milan's boss and former Manchester City coach Roberto Mancini stated his club would be willing to sign Toure, even though the lack of Champions League opportunities for the Neroazzurri could be a major setback in the process of signing the midfielder.

"Serie A needs players like Yaya so that it can go back to being one of the best leagues, if not the best, like it was 15, 20 years ago. I know it won't be easy to convince him. His signing would be important for us and for the entire league. He is one of the best players in the world, but right now he is with Manchester City," Mancini stated

Yaya Toure was offered a contract extension by Manchester City's execs while he was participating with his National Team in the African Cup of Nations, but the player refused to extend his commitment with the club. Sources indicate that the midfielder is not happy with the team's officers for not showing him enough respect during his birthday celebrations last summer.
