A considerable amount of Chelsea fans thought it was a good idea to create and carry laminated signs at Stamford Bridge on Sunday when the Blues hosted Steven Gerrard for the last time. The Liverpool captain, who is on his way to the MLS with LA Galaxy, started the match and scored the equalizer in the 44th minute after John Terry opened the scoring five minutes into the game.
In the 79th minute, Liverpool coach Brendan Rodgers decided to sub his skipper and replace him with Lucas. It was then that some Chelsea fans in the crowd gladly flashed signs to refer to Gerrard's famous slip against the Blues last season which cost the Merseyside Reds the Premier League title.
Only a small portion of Chelsea fans joined Jose Mourinho to applaud Steven Gerrard as he walked off the pitch. After the game, Stevie G spoke to reporters, stating:
"Chelsea fans have shown me respect for a couple of seconds but slaughtered me all game. It was nice of them to turn up for once today.
"What's important is the support from the Liverpool fans. They've been with me from day one."
Twitter of course reacted to what happened.

English teacher be like, the laminated paper represents Chelsea fans because the paper is now plastic, just like the fans.
— Realistic_LFC_Fan (@Real_LFC_Fan) May 10, 2015
At least Chelsea fans care about the Environment. Maybe we should use the club logo on Recycling bins since everything to them is plastic.

And yes, there is something curious about plastic!
New nickname for Chelsea fans. The laminates.

But then again, not all Chelsea fans poked fun at Steven Gerrard with laminated signs:
